Classical Ballet R.A.D

Classical ballet is the basis from which many dance styles begin. Classical ballet teachers discipline; correct body posture; foot and hip alignment; poise; flexibility; strength; agility and gracefulness. QJF teachers R.A.D (Royal Academy of Dance) London syllabus.

Classes are taught from  pre-primary and primary to grades and majors. Point, Open ballet and non-syllabus classes are also available. Our classes begin at age 4  through to classes for adults. Exams are optional

Lance Riley specializes in providing high quality teaching to students with a particular focus on helping students reach there dreams and aspiration as a dancer.

To fulfill his passion to continue dancing, Lance went to New Zealand to study at the New Zealand School of Dance. Graduating in 2003 with a Diploma in Dance Performance.

In 2003, Lance choreographed Territory as part of “If Skin Could Talk” for the 2003 student choreographic season in collaboration with Strike and he won the Jackson-Chatfield prize for Excellence in Choreography.

Lance also danced in “Jabula” by Natalie Weir and “Jardi Trancat”, “Sinfonietta” and “Nomaden” by Nacho Duato as part of New Zealand School of Dance Graduation Season.

Joining Footnote Dance Company 2004-2006 as a dancer and choreography his first professional work for the season of “Home is where the Heart is”.

Lance toured to Europe in 2005 as part of the Footnote Dance Company’s first international tour.
